Rupert Murdoch, 93, Marries for Fifth Time to Elena Zhukova, 67

Rupert Murdoch, a 93 year old media mogul, has tied the knot for the fifth time with his 67-year-old bride, Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist. The ceremony took place at the couple’s California vineyard and estate called Moraga on Saturday. This union began in 2023 after he divorced from Jerry Hall in 2022.

Elena Zhukova, who settled in America from Russia, was introduced to Murdoch by Wendi Deng, his third wife. Prior to that relationship, she had been married to billionaire Alexander Zhukov, and Dasha Zhukova is their daughter, who was married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

The wedding saw celebrities like New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his wife Dana Blumberg, aged 82 and 50, respectively, grace the occasion. Before marrying Zhukova today, Rupert Murdoch previously married four times, such as Jerry Hall recently.

According to Forbes, Rupert Murdoch has over $20 billion in wealth through his media empire, including The Wall Street Journal and Fox News, as well as other influential outlets. In 2021, he officially left News Corp., passing control over to Lachlan while remaining an emeritus consultant.

This marriage will not affect the future of this family-run organization, which relies on a trust with a majority stake owned by Murdoch and his four oldest children. He had six children with three women altogether, excluding Zhukova who had one child each from her first two marriages and did marry into the Russian oligarchy.

Murdoch’s sixth betrothal came after being briefly engaged to conservative radio host Ann Lesley Smith less than a year ago (2023). The wedding took place at his exclusive Bel Air vineyard called Moraga, which he acquired in 2013.
